Terms of service
Last updated: 19 October 2026
Who we are
MyEventsInMotion is operated by My Original Thinking Ltd, registered at 61 Stevens Rd, Eastleigh, Hampshire, SO50 9RH (“we”, “us”). These terms are between you, the host, and us. Contact: hello@myeventsinmotion.com.
The service
- You get an event code and QR code to share with your guests.
- Guests can upload during the upload window. By default it opens 2 hours before the event start and closes 5 days (120 hours) after it; you can extend it once by 48 hours.
- We automatically produce a highlight film, and you can download everyone’s uploads.
Your responsibilities
- For guest content you are the controller of personal data. You must tell guests how their content is used. The guest card and notice we provide do this.
- Only lawful content may be uploaded. Do not upload or keep content of people who object.
Music
Music is included in the price. The film with music is for your personal, private use only: keep it, watch it, share it privately. Public posting is not covered. To post publicly, use the silent social clips, which carry no music so you can add the platform’s own.
You can change the song for free within a set period (currently 14 days) of the film first being made. After that, a fee may apply. You can request a song that is not in the library; if it is in our provider’s catalogue we will add it at no charge. Chart or commercial songs are not available.
Payment and refunds
You accept these terms at checkout and pay by card through Stripe before your event goes live. For refunds, contact us at hello@myeventsinmotion.com. You can cancel for a full refund within 14 days of payment, as long as your event’s upload window has not yet opened.
Retention
We keep original uploads and the ZIP download for 365 days after the event, then delete them. Finished films are kept for 2 years, and temporary working files are deleted after 14 days. We remind you before deletion, so please download what you want to keep.
Acceptable use, takedown and suspension
Do not misuse the service, upload unlawful or abusive content, or interfere with it. We may remove content, for example after a takedown request, and re-make films without it. We may suspend or end access for abuse.
Liability
We do not exclude liability that cannot be excluded by law. Otherwise, to the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction.
Data processing
For guest content you appoint us as your processor. We will:
- process that data only on your instructions (using the service is an instruction);
- keep it secure;
- tell you about a personal data breach affecting it without undue delay;
- use only the sub-processors listed in our privacy policy;
- delete it at the end of the retention period, or earlier if you ask.
See our privacy policy for how personal data is handled.
